The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) lists safeguards an employer must take to protect employees from the health hazards of Bloodborne Pathogens. Any employee for whom there is a “reasonable anticipation” that they may come in contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials on the job, is covered by this standard. This would include First Aid Providers.
